Sociocracy – Our way of working
The Youth Council of the Municipality of Thermi is organized and operates according to the sociocratic (or social governance) method of decision-making, a participatory and democratic model of organization. Under this approach, decisions are made by consent, meaning that no reasoned and significant objection exists among the members.
Sociocracy promotes circular dialogue and collective thinking, ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to speak, be heard, and contribute. Members of the Council learn to set shared goals, take on roles and responsibilities transparently, and work together to implement their actions.
Through this process, equality, trust, teamwork, and active participation are strengthened, creating an environment where every voice matters and every decision reflects collective responsibility.
