On Wednesday, 9 April, our Council participated in the <\/span>\u201cEGL Study Visit on Youth Participation in Thessaloniki\u201d<\/b>, which took place at the Holiday Inn hotel. The study visit on Youth Participation in Thessaloniki was organized within the framework of the <\/span>Europe Goes Local<\/b> program by the <\/span>Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation (INEDIVIM)<\/b>, the National Agency for the <\/span>Erasmus+ Youth and Sport<\/b> programme in Greece, together with the <\/span>Foundation for the Development of the Education System<\/b> and <\/span>SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the sessions, participants had the opportunity to learn methods for analyzing the level of youth participation in their own municipalities, as well as ways in which they can contribute to strengthening youth engagement. As part of the presentations, the <\/span>structure and operation of our Council<\/b> were highlighted as a good practice, as a body that empowers and activates young people at a local level.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Youth Council was represented by <\/span>Stavros Papagiannis<\/b>, Secretary of the Council. Also attending the meeting were <\/span>Chrysa Klimatsouda<\/b>, Head of the Directorate of Education, Youth, Lifelong Learning and Employment of the Municipality of Thermi, and <\/span>Sofia Kyprianidou<\/b>, youth worker.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the visit, municipalities from countries such as <\/span>Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Poland<\/b> gained new ideas and inspiration, aiming to strengthen youth participation structures in their local communities.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
