A day full of energy, inspiration and action!
The 3rd Olympic Day Park transformed the Environmental Park of Thermi into a huge celebration for the environment, sports and culture, welcoming over 5,000 visitors of all ages!
The festival, co-organised by the Thessaloniki Olympic Museum, the Municipality of Thermi and the Central Macedonia Solid Waste Management Authority (F.O.D.S.A.), promoted the values of Olympism — excellence, respect and friendship — through play, action and participation.
The day was full of:
sports games & creative workshops
environmental games & first aid lessons
firefighting simulations by the Civil Protection Team
music by Plus Radio and lots of positive energy!
A special moment was the awarding of young athletes from the Municipality of Thermi:
Saleh Fillio Ganimis, for 2nd place at the European Championship in Malta (2025)
Alexandros Chatziaugoustidis, athlete of the Thessaloniki Nautical Club and member of the national rowing team, for winning the Bronze Medal at the World Junior Championships in Lithuania.
The event was presented by Giorgos Lentzas, while Angelos Charisteas, Nikos Zisis and Giannis Giannoulis were also present, speaking about the power of sports and teamwork.
It was a great honour for us at the Youth Council of the Municipality of Thermi to contribute voluntarily to the coordination and implementation of the event, demonstrating in practice what participation, cooperation and active citizenship truly mean.

Thermi once again proved that when we work together, we can create celebrations that bring us all together.
